JAKARTA,(Indonesia), OMIKAMI-TV – President Joko Widodo accompanied by Vice President Ma'ruf Amin announced six candidates for Advanced Indonesian Cabinet ministers on Tuesday (12/22/2020), on the back porch of Merdeka Palace, Jakarta.
"On this happy afternoon, I together with Mr. Vice President would like to announce new ministers who will sit in the members of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet," said the President beginning the announcement.
Then the President called and introduced the ministerial candidates one by one.
First, Tri Rismaharini as Minister of Social Affairs.
"I think we know everything, he is the Mayor of Surabaya, and at this time Mrs. Tri Rismaharini will give us the responsibility to be the Minister of Social Affairs," explained the President.
Second, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno as Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy.
"He was the Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, the Chairman of HIPMI, and now we will give the responsibility to lead the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy," explained the President
Third, Budi Gunadi Sadikin as Minister of Health.
"He was previously president director of Bank Mandiri, then President Director of PT.Asahan Alumunium, and lastly became Deputy Minister of SOEs and now we give responsibility to lead the Ministry of Health," the President said.
Fourth, Yaqut Cholil Qoumas as Minister of Religious Affairs.
"He is a Muslim figure, Chairman of PP GP Ansor, and we will give responsibility as Minister of Religious Affairs," the President said.
Fifth, Sakti Wahyu Trenggono as Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries.
"He currently holds a position in the Deputy Minister of Defense and we will give the responsibility to become Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries," the President said
Sixth, Muhammad Lutfi as Minister of Trade.
"He had previously been at the Head of BKPM, then The Minister of Trade, Then The Indonesian Ambassador to Japan and finally the Indonesian Ambassador to the United States. And now we will give the task of leading the Ministry of Trade," the President said.
Closing the announcement, the President said that the six ministers will be inaugurated tomorrow. "I think that's the introduction that I delivered this afternoon and the inauguration will be held inshaallah tomorrow morning," he concluded.
