Leaders To Representatives of ASEAN Countries Hold ASEAN Leaders' Meeting in Jakarta

JAKARTA,(Indonesia) OMIKAMI-TV - Leaders and representatives of ASEAN countries are following the ASEAN Leaders' Meeting (ALM) held at the ASEAN Secretariat building, Jakarta, on Saturday, April 24, 2021.

Alm this time was held at the invitation of the Sultan of Brunei Darussalam, Hassanal Bolkiah, as the Chairman of ASEAN. Previously, Indonesia initiated this ALM to discuss and reach agreements and solutions that are good for the people of Myanmar.

In addition to being attended by Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah and President Joko Widodo, a number of leaders or representatives from ASEAN countries attended the meeting. Appearing at the meeting were Vietnamese Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen, Malaysian Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin, and Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.

Philippine Foreign Minister Teodoro L. Locsin Jr., Thai Foreign Minister Don Pramudwinai, Laos Foreign Minister As Laos Special Envoy Saleumxay Kommasith, and Myanmar Military Commander General Min Aung Hlaing also attended the ALM this time.

The ASEAN Leaders' Meeting is expected to reach an agreement on measures that are good for the people of Myanmar and help Myanmar to get out of the current situation.

In addition, the leaders or representatives of ASEAN countries also have the same determination to jointly share views in the interests of the people of Myanmar.
