OMIKAMI-TV : KPK Holds Press Conference About OTT Lahat Regent And His Henchmen

JAKARTA (Indonesia), OMIKAMI-TV - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) again conducted a Hand Arrest Operation (OTT) on Tuesday (18/01/2022) night, where this time the Crime Scene (Crime Scene) is located in Langkat Regency, North Sumatra Province. Within 1x24 Hours OTT was initiated with a closed investigation then became an investigation process, then after the title of the case, the KPK gave conclusions related to OTT against the Regent of Langkat, Issued a Wind-Wind Plan in the Period 2019-2024 and its Cronies, (20/01/2022).

The announcement of detention of suspected corruption or gratification in the form of receipt of gifts or promises from state organizers or parties representing related to the work of Procurement of Goods and Services in fiscal year 2020 - 2022 in Langkat Regency, North Sumatra Province, KPK Chairman Nurul Ghufron explained that, "KPK has conducted arrest activities for alleged corruption in the form of receipt of gifts or promises by Nagara Organizers or those representing them. Related to the work of Procurement of Goods and Services from Fiscal Year 2020 to 2022 in Langkat Regency, North Sumatra, in this OTT activity the KPK Team has secured eight people on January 18, 2022, around 20:30 in langkat regency, North Sumatra, "he explained in a press conference held by the KPK at the Red And White House on (20/01/2022) morning.

"The parties are secured first, Sdr TRP Regent of Langkat Regency 2019-2024, second Sdr SJ Plt Kadis PUPR Langkat Regency, third Sdr DT Kabid Bina Marga Dinas PUPR Langkat Regency, fourth Sdr SH Head of Procurement Of Goods and Services, fifth Sdr MSA Private Contractor, sixth Sdr SC Private or Contractor, seventh Sdr MR Private or Contractor and eighth Sdr IS Private or Contractor, "Said KPK Chairman Nurul Ghufron.

In the chronology of the OTT incident conducted by the KPK against the eight suspects, KPK Chairman Nurul Ghufron revealed that, "Initially around Tuesday, January 18, 2022 in Langkat Regency, North Sumatra, the KPK received information from the public regarding the alleged receipt of some money by the State Organizer or parties representing it where it is suspected that there was previous communication on the agreement to be provided by MR's brother. The KPK team immediately moved and followed several parties including Sdr MR who made a withdrawal of some money at one of the Regional Banks in Langkat Regency, North Sumatra, while Sdr MSA, Sdr SC and Sdr IS as representatives of Sdr ISK and TRP waited at one of the coffee shops, "he explained.

"Sdr MR then met Sdr MSA, Sdr SC and Sdr IS at the coffee shop and immediately handed over the cash. The KPK team immediately made arrests and secured Sdr MR, MSA, SCdan IS following money to Binjai Police. Then the KPK Team headed to the private residence of Sdr TRP to secure TRP and ISK. But after arriving at the location obtained information that the existence of TRP and UTI is no longer there and allegedly deliberately avoided the pursuit of the KPK Team, "he continued.

"Furthermore, the KPK Team received information that Sdr TRP had come to surrender to binjai police and at around 15:45 wib, a request for information was made to the concerned," he added.

"The parties along with the evidence at the time of the arrest. Arrested with a sum of money in the form of Seven Hundred and Eighty-Six Million Rupiah, then brought to the KPK Red and White House for further KPK examination. The evidence is allegedly only a small part of some TRP receipts through his confidants," nurul ghufron said.

"After the collection of various information accompanied by information related to alleged corruption in the intent, the KPK then conducted an investigation and found sufficient preliminary evidence, then the KPK raised the status of this case to the investigation stage and announced the following suspects;

Sdr MR giver from the Private sector, Recipient of Sdr TRP Regent of Langkat Regency Period 2019-2024. The second Sdr ISK Head of Balai Kasih Village, the third Sdr MSA Private Contractor, the fourth Sdr SC Private Contractor, the fifth Sdr IS Private Contractor, the construction of the case is alleged to have occurred a series of activities that are suspected to be Criminal Acts of Corruption, as follows;

"That is around 2020 until now 2022 at the time of arrest, Sdr Suspect TRP Regent of Langkat Regency Period 2019-2024 together with Sdr TSK Head of Balai Kasih Village who is the sibling of Sdr TRP allegedly made arrangements in the implementation of infrastructure work project package in Langkat Regency. In making this arrangement Sdr TRP ordered Sdr SC as Plt Kadis PUPR Langkat Regency and SH as Head of Procurement of Goods and Services to coordinate actively with Sdr ISK as a representation of Sdr TRP with the selection of which partners will be appointed as winners of Project Packages in the PUPR Office and Education Office, in order to be the winner of the Project Project Package allegedly there is a demand for a percentage fee by Sdr TRP through Sdr ISK with value Fifteen percent (15%) percentage of project value for work packages through auction stages and for project packages with direct appointment packages the percentage is sixteen commas five percent (16.5 percent), so for those through auctions 15 percent through direct appointments 16.5%," ghufron explained.

"Furthermore, one of the winners selected and won to work on the project at the two Agencies is Sdr MR by using several Company Flags and for the total value of the Project worked on amounting to Four Commas Three Billion (4.3M)," he added.

"In addition to being done by the partner there are also some work done by Sdr TRP through the ISK-owned Company itself. The provision of Fees by Sdr Suspect MR is allegedly done in cash with an amount of around Rp 786 (Seven Hundred and Eighty-Six) Million, which is received through the intermediary of Suspect MSA, Suspect SC and Suspect IS to then be given to suspects of UTI and forwarded again to suspects TRP, "said Ghufron.

"Allegedly in the receipt up to the management of fee money in the intent of various projects in Langkat Regency, Sdr TRP uses its confidants in the intent of Sdr Suspect ISK, Sdr Suspect MSA, Sdr Suspect SC and Sdr Suspect IS, Allegedly there are also many other receipts by Sdr TersangkaTRP through Sdr Suspect IS from various partners and this is still in the Process of Deepening by kpk investigation team, "The head of the KPK.

Nurul Ghufron reiterated that what was made from the OTT with a sum of Rp 786 million was a small part of several project packages indicated by corruption and gratification carried out by TRP suspects and their cronies that were made possible in the same pattern.

Kpk Chairman Nurul Ghufron also asserted that, "For these actions the suspects are suspected of violating the First Article of Sdr MR as a Giver suspected of violating Article 5 Paragraph One Letter a atay Article 5 Paragraph 1 Letter b or Article 13 of The Indonesian Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning The Crime of Corruption as amended by Law No. 20 of 2021 concerning the amendment of Law No. 31 on Combating Corruption, It's from the giver," he explained.

As for the Recipient of the KPK Chairman Nurul Ghufron asserted that, "The two Suspects TRP, ISK, MSA, SC and IS as recipients are suspected of violating The 12 Letter a or Article 12 Letter b or Article 11 of Law No. 31 junchto Law No. 20 of 2021 concerning the amendment of Law No. 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption junchto Article 55 Paragraph 1 to 1 of the Criminal Code junchto Article 65 Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code, "Strictly speaking.

Furthermore, Nurul Ghufron said, "For the investigation process, forced detention efforts were made by the Investigation Team for Suspects for the first 20 days starting from January 19, 2922 to February 7, 2022 in Rutan KPK, first Sdr TRP was detained in Rutan KPK at POMDAM JAYA Guntur, second Sdr SC was detained in Rutan KPK at POMDAM JAYA Guntur, Sdr MSA was detained in Central Jakarta Metro Police, the four IS Sdrs were detained in East Jakarta Police, six MR Sdrs were detained in the Kpk Merah Putih Building," he explained.

"Kpk was informed that with the help of the North Sumatra Regional Police, because until now Sdr ISK has not been in this KPK building, but we have received information that the suspect Sdr ISK has now also been secured by the Team and immediately brought to binjai police for questioning, so it is still in Binjai has not been brought to Jakarta, "Said KPK Chairman Nurul Ghufron.

KPK thanked the parties including and especially to the North Sumatra Regional Police who had helped in the Hand Arrest activities carried out by the KPK Team. KPK is concerned about state organizers who still commit criminal acts of corruption and gratification by malicious consensus on other parties in dishonest ways. Kpk collects to banks or other service parties if they encounter or serve suspicious financial transactions, or should be suspected of committing criminal acts of corruption with examples of withdrawal of large amounts of money to immediately report to other KPKatau APH.
